Tracking

RocketMod's Tracking mod for Cronus Zen is a low-amplitude right-stick micro-correction on top of AA Rocket, with 4 shapes and a cut-out on manual flicks.

🎯 Tracking

Tracking is a small, discreet automatic movement of the right stick while you fire, applied on top of AA Rocket, to compensate for micro-movements and stay "stuck" to the target better.

It sits in the AIM category: D-pad Right on the mod row toggles it, Cross (βœ•) opens its settings.

How it differs from AA Rocket

AA Rocket applies a fixed, regular-amplitude pattern β€” which is exactly what you want against weapon recoil, because recoil is predictable. Tracking is meant as a secondary layer, running at very low amplitude (a 0–10 scale instead of AA Rocket's 0–100) at the same time, to add a light continuous adjustment on top. The idea is to simulate a constant micro-correction rather than a one-off fix.

The two stack β€” Tracking doesn't replace AA Rocket, it adds to it. Tune AA Rocket first, then bring Tracking in on top.

Settings

SettingWhat it does
Track ShapeMovement pattern β€” see the 4 shapes below
Track SizeMovement amplitude (0–10) β€” deliberately small compared to AA Rocket's 0–100, since this is only a fine adjustment
Track SpeedMovement speed (0–10)

Built-in safety: Tracking automatically cuts out if you make a large deliberate right-stick movement (a flick), so it never fights your manual aim. The script detects that this is no longer a micro-movement but an intentional gesture, and hands control straight back to you.

Track Shapes

Only 4 shapes are available here, all at low amplitude β€” this is a shorter list than AA Rocket's 19 shapes.

ShapeTrajectory
CircleA small regular circle β€” same idea as Circular in AA Rocket, but at very low amplitude
KITTPurely horizontal back-and-forth, scanner-style (a nod to K.I.T.T.'s scanner light) β€” no vertical movement
Wide OvalA small oval wider than it is tall
Tall OvalA small oval taller than it is wide

βœ… Tuning workflow

  1. Get AA Rocket and Anti-Recoil dialled in first β€” Tracking is the last layer, not the first.
  2. Turn Tracking on with Track Size = 2–3 and leave Speed low.
  3. Raise Track Size one step at a time until the crosshair holds the target a little better during sustained fire.
  4. The moment your aim starts to feel jittery, you've gone a step too far β€” back off one.

Because Track Size tops out at 10, there is no "big" setting here on purpose: if you need more movement, that belongs in AA Rocket, not Tracking.
