Anti-Recoil Setup | RocketAIM Cronus Zen

Configure anti-recoil in RocketAIM: a step-by-step guide to recoil control for Call of Duty weapons on Cronus Zen, with setup and optimization tips.

🎯 Anti-Recoil — Explained & Setup

Anti-Recoil automatically compensates for weapon climb when you fire, by pushing the right stick in the opposite direction. Settings are per-profile — each of your 2 profiles keeps its own values.

Settings

SettingWhat it does
VerticalVertical compensation strength (-50 to 50). Higher = the stick pushes down harder to counter muzzle climb
HorizontalSame, but for the weapon's horizontal drift (-50 to 50)
ActivationWhen it kicks in: Ads+Fire, Fire (even without aiming), or Ads+Fire / Fire (both)
Hybrid (for Scuff)OFF (default) = detects firing via controller vibration. ON = alternate detection based on raw vibration intensity — use this if your controller (e.g. Scuff) doesn't trigger normal detection correctly
AR HumanizeAdds 0–10 random variation to the vertical compensation for a less mechanical motion. 0 = disabled

💡 L2 + Circle + ↑(up) opens the Anti-Recoil quick preview in game, without going through the menu.

1) Prerequisites

Your Button Layout must match your in-game layout exactly, or Anti-Recoil will look "broken" when it's actually just reading the wrong button.

Misc → Buttons Layout → pick the layout you use in-game.

Also enable Controller Vibration at Value: 100 — Anti-Recoil (in its default, non-Hybrid mode) detects firing through vibration.

2) Open the Anti-Recoil menu

Hold L2 + release Options to open the menu, then navigate to AIM → Anti-Recoil.

  • Cross (✕) → enter the menu
  • D-pad Left/Right → adjust values
  • D-pad Up/Down → switch settings
  • Circle (○) → save and exit

3) Set up both profiles

Inside the Anti-Recoil menu, press L1 / R1 to switch which profile you're editing.

  • Profile 1 → typically your primary weapon
  • Profile 2 → typically your secondary weapon

Set values for both, then save.

4) If you use Per Weapon mode

Weapon Detect's Per Weapon type changes what this screen edits. With a recognised weapon active, Vertical and Horizontal apply to that weapon's own stored values — not Profile 1's or Profile 2's — and the top banner shows the weapon's name instead of ◄ Primary ► (L1/R1 does nothing there, since no profile is in play). With no weapon recognised, the screen falls back to the profile preset exactly as described above.

Two consequences worth knowing:

  • The number here is the same one you change live in game with ADS + Up / ADS + Down — one value, shown in several places, not separate settings.
  • Anti-Recoil's ON/OFF is global in Per Weapon. Primary and Secondary each have their own switch; every custom weapon shares a single one, so toggling it from the mod list affects all of them at once.

✅ Tuning workflow

  1. Equip the weapon you want to tune.
  2. Set Vertical = 50 and test on a wall.
    • Gun pulls down → Anti-Recoil is working.
    • Nothing happens → your Button Layout is wrong. Fix that first.
  3. Halve it to 25 and fine-tune from there until the pattern is flat.
  4. Turn AA Rocket off while testing Anti-Recoil alone, for a clean read.
  5. Repeat for the second profile, then save.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is anti-recoil in RocketAIM?

Anti-recoil automatically compensates for weapon recoil patterns, helping you maintain better accuracy during sustained fire.

How do I set up anti-recoil for different weapons?

Each weapon has specific recoil patterns. Use the weapon-specific settings in RocketAIM to configure anti-recoil for optimal performance.

Is anti-recoil detectable?

Anti-recoil runs through Cronus Zen at the hardware level, which is a different category from cheat software. Anti-cheat systems judge behavior, and no outcome is guaranteed. RocketAIM uses settings with slight per-shot variation to avoid the overly consistent patterns behavior-analysis systems look for. See how it works for the full transparency notes.
