Button Layout Guide

Understand what a button layout is, review all available layouts (Default, Tactical, Lefty, Nomad variants, Bumper Jumper, Stick & Move, Flipped layouts, etc.), and learn how to select the right layout in the RocketMod script for Xbox and PS5.

🚀 Button Layout

A button layout defines which controller button performs which action (jump, aim, shoot, sprint, etc.) based on a chosen scheme.
Some layouts are designed to speed up actions, improve mobility in combat, or enhance accessibility (e.g., one‑handed play or left‑handed players).

💡 Pro Tips

  • Keep your in‑game button layout and your script layout in sync to avoid mismatch.
  • If you experiment with mobility‑focused layouts (e.g., Bumper Jumper, Stick & Move), re‑train muscle memory in a private match first.
  • For left‑handed play or accessibility, try Lefty or 1‑Hand Gunslinger variants.
